Mud Slide

Ezra and Landon have found that it is really fun to climb up my parents hill in their back yard and slide down on their bellies. What you see here is the result of me not paying enough attention to them as they played. Thanks to Oxyclean, their clothes washed up just fine!

Fred???

As some of you may know, about 6-9 months ago my dad gave my boys a little finch named Fred. My boys LOVED to watch Fred jump all around his cage, and laughed every time Fred squawked. All in all, Fred was and is well loved. Ezra has especially taken an interest in Fred. He thinks it is SO funny to reach in Fred's cage and watch Fred fly around like a mad man (or bird as the case may be). A couple of days ago Ezra was reaching into Fred's cage as usual but reached for the bottom where all the gross poopy stuff is. He grabbed something that I assumed was bird dropping so I immediately tried to take it away. When Ezra reached out his pudgy little hand he had a very small egg in it. I wondered which toy that came from and then wondered if it was real. I held the egg up to the light and sure enough I saw a yolk inside. Two days later I went downstairs to prepare breakfast and low-and-behold, another egg lay at the bottom of the cage. So Fred is not really a Fred! We were so surprised. Gabe had the idea to name her "Mrs. Bird" or "Mrs. Egglayer, because she is a Mrs. and she lays eggs." As if I wouldn't have figured that one out! Oh Gabe! Anyways, I was thinking of renaming her Matilda but Aaron insists that we have to name her the feminine version of Fred. Anyone know what that might be? Anyone want to tell Aaron that, that is not necessary and we should go ahead and name her Matilda? I think it is cute and we could call her Tilly for short.

My latest craft project!

I found this crochet pattern on-line and decided to try it out. It was a really REALLY easy pattern and looks pretty dang cute on my little girl! Honestly; however, I think almost anything looks cute on Scotland. I am not a huge fan of ponchos but since it was such an easy pattern and I thought that Scotland would really enjoy the fringes I decided that this was a pattern I could not pass up. I am glad I made it! It turned out so much cuter than I ever imagined it would.

A trip down memory lane

Okay, only one more post today. Brief story here. Right before the twins were born (I'm talking just days) a friend of Aaron's came over and took pictures of us for a Christmas gift to me from Aaron. LOTS of time passed and we never saw the pictures. I was so sad since these were basically the only pictures I had of me pregnant with twins. This last Christmas Aaron, I mean Santa left a USB disc in my stocking and on this was all the pictures. I was so happy!! I guess Aaron had gotten in touch with this guy again and got him to give us the pictures. Anyways, I though that some of you might enjoy seeing me HUGE with twins.

Lid Drawer

Scotland just found our lid drawer in our kitchen. She had so much fun for so long! All she did was take this one lid out and put it back in, over and over again. She was so cute getting so excited about this simple activity so I had to take a picture. She really is a doll!!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope that you all had an enjoyable one. For my kids for Valentine's Day I made the boys super hero capes. They loved them and wear them. Here are a few pictures of my super kiddos!

Gabe, posing on his horse. Gabe actually has quite a few pretty hilarious poses!

Ezra, his cape is a little long on him but at least he will grow into it.

Landon, sitting on his bike (it's kind of hard to tell, he just looks short). He was not quite as sure about the capes at first (I think mostly because of his sensory issues). Once he noticed how cool everyone else thought they were, he decided they weren't so bad.

Move over Emeril!!!

I like to cook for my little guys and I try to make nice things, somewhat healthy things, and fun things. One day for lunch I decided to just go for the fun things to make and made pigs in a blanket. I know, they are not healthy or good (in my opinion) but I thought the kids would think that they are fun. Sure enough they did. They thought they were SO fun. While eating them, Gabe looked up at me and said, "I love you mom." I replied, "I love you too Gabe." He then said, very excitedly, "You are the best cooker in the WORLD!" I laughed and said, "thanks Gabe." So his wife will probably never have a hard time pleasing his stomach.
If any of you are dying to get my recipe, it will only cost ya $250. I AM the greatest cooker in the world after all!!
